What is Cabinet business?

- Ratification of Protocols, Treaties, Conventions, Agreements, etc.;
- Approval of Draft Bills;
- Approval of Principles for new laws(Bills);
- Approval of national and sector policy proposals (those that may not result into or require legislation);
- To inform Cabinet (Information Papers);
- Approval of Statutory Appointments;
Cabinet Memoranda or Information Papers are submitted by the Permanent Secretaries to the Cabinet Secretariat. Agencies and Departments make their submissions through the Permanent Secretary
to of the line Minister.
